Decisions, Decisions!
Decisions, Decisions!
No. Adversity doesn’t create character, it only reveals it. It’s our decisions that creates the change! I hate the squeeze, but God uses it to reveal what’s actually inside of us. Once diagnosed, it’s our decisions that decides whether we change or whether we stay the same or go backwards.
Here’s how it works. In times of adversity, our Observational Thoughts are on high alert though the extreme nature of all we’re seeing. It kicks off our intuitive thoughts warning us to take extreme care.
They enter the Grand Central Station of the Will. The Station Masters of the Fallen Platforms suddenly come to life with their temptations, offering these New Thoughts a train ride to a land of Fear and Sin.
Our Thoughts are highly susceptible to Temptations of Fear and Doubt. It’s here at Grand Central that we need to choose to send these Thoughts onto Trains of Faith and not onto Trains of Instinct and Emotion.
To help us make the right decisions, building a Hot House Environment of Faith is essential, through who we talk to, the words we speak, the TV we watch and the words we read. Through God’s Word, we can remind ourselves of previous promises we have received and of new promises yet to be received.
Our decisions to ride Trains of Faith will strengthen and grow the Cities of Habit in the New Regions of the Mind.
New habits mean new Horizons. Change your thinking. Change your world.
“…be transformed by the renewing of your mind so you can test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will”. Romans 12:2
